Before getting started, we’ll have a meet and greet to talk about your goals and see if we’re the right fit. If we’re feelin comfy, we’ll move on to the nitty gritty. I’ll send over a Service Agreement and deposit link get started. Additionally, I will set up a Google Drive folder that will be used to send and receive files during our time working together. I’ll also send you a Welcome Packet that outlines all you need to know about the branding process (timeline, working hours, payment schedule, etc).

STRATEGY + DESIGN DIRECTION

I’ll kick things off by emailing you the Brand Foundations Questionnaire. Think of this as your homework to provide clarity for the design stage. You’ll also need to create a Pinterest board with inspirations for your brand— photography, colour palette, other logos, fonts, anything! With your insights and pins, I’ll develop a Creative Direction guide featuring a mood board and color palette for your approval. This guide will visually communicate the tones, feelings, and story that will shape your brand.

DESIGN TIME

Here’s where the magic happens. I start crafting your unique logo concepts, each with complementary variations and real-world mockups. We will meet via Zoom to discuss the two concepts I've created and the motivations behind design choices. After you select one of the two concepts, we'll fine-tune and revise (up to 2 times) until we hit perfection. Your feedback is my guide to making the revision process smooth and efficient.

At this point, I’ll save your logo, its variations, and all designed elements in the appropriate file types for both web and print. Final payment is required now. After receiving the payment, I’ll upload all files, along with your Brand Style Guide, to a Google Drive folder for you. Your Brand Guide explains your brand’s identity and how to use its elements consistently across the board. Lastly, I’ll email a client feedback questionnaire to make sure you’re satisfied and to refine the process for future projects.

I'M READY TO BOOGIE

For web design clients, I’ll use your branding to create a mockup design in Figma. I will design all pages you’d like to for your site. Once I have completed the design, I will invite you as a collaborator for notes. Based on your notes, I will make those design adjustments (up to 2 revisions). Once you have approved the design in Figma, it’s time to start building! I’ll jump into your Showit account and whip up your website in no time. Please note, a domain name and Showit subscription must be purchased prior.

We’re so close! At this point, I’ll send over a Loom video that walks you through your new website. We will do 1 round of final tweaks if necessary (animation and function notes). Final payment will be due at this stage. After payment is received, I will publish the website. Your two weeks of post-publishing support will start on the day that the site goes live. Lastly, I’ll email a client feedback questionnaire to make sure you’re satisfied and to refine the process for future projects.
